Keep Your Vehicle Running Strong: Transmission & Differential

Some aspects to vehicle maintenance are harder to remember than others. They can go longer between maintenance and can easily be forgotten. However, if they go neglected for too long, they will significantly damage your vehicle and make you spend a lot more money on repairs than simple maintenance would have cost. Here’s a couple vital components in your vehicle that need maintenance that people often forget about.

Transmission
Whether you have an automatic or manual transmission, your transmission fluid needs to be drained and replaced according to the maintenance schedule in your vehicle’s owner’s manual. Failing to do so will cause your transmission to become damaged and fail to work properly. Simple maintenance will stave off expensive repairs.

Differential
The differential is another oft forgotten component that needs tender loving care every so often. Make sure to drain and replace your differential fluid at the regular intervals suggested in your owner’s manual. Failure to do so will bring on the pain of repairs.
